Different web browsers can affect your audio and visual experience.

This website, the AudioPlayer and the PopUpPlayer have all been tested using Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome and Safari browsers.  If you are experiencing problems with your audio and visual experience, please let us know which browser and operating system you are using and we will endeavour to improve your IndieRockandRollRadio experience.

Tips:

To enjoy certain features of the website (AudioPlayer, VideoPlayer, etc.), it may be necessary to install the Adobe Flash Player Plugin.  Your browser may prompt you when loading IndieRockandRollRadio.com.  Otherwise, type 'Adobe Flash Player Plugin' into Google or any other search engine to find the appropriate download.

Some browsers (specifically Google Chrome or Firefox) may also require the installation of Silverlight and Microsoft Windows Media Player Plugins to view these features.  These can be obtained from the Microsoft  or Microsoft Port25 (open source community) websites.  Simply type 'Silverlight Plugin' or 'Microsoft Windows Media Player Plugin' into Google or any other search engine to find the appropriate download.

Microsoft Silverlight is a plugin used by some websites to display multimedia content and is required to view this website's multimedia content using Firefox and Google Chrome web browsers.

The Windows Media Player Plugin is necessary to add the Windows Media Player ActiveX control to the Firefox browser.

If you are using the Firefox browser, in order to enjoy the SHARE Bookmark & Share feature for social networking (such as Facebook and Twitter, etc.) positioned at the top of the news articles on this website (including this article), it is necessary to install the Firefox AddThis Extension available from the Mozilla website at: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4076/?src=external-ATCMFF_DL

Offensive? No. Likely to invoke expressions of disgust or to face immediate rejection? Probably not judging by the positive response this group's music has attracted on the web. Its name is a misnomer. The band Yuck (sometimes written "Yu(c)k") is "all the rage" in North London, England and its fashionable songs circulating on the web are only garnering love and praise.

"Don't pay any attention to their name – these north London newbies are not yuck at all, they're pretty good, sounding like a shoegazey Sonic Youth," Paul Lester wrote for the Guardian when he made Yuck his "new band of the day" in January.

"YUCK’s music is beguilingly interior, evoking inner monologues and sideways glances through eyelashes framed by burning cheeks. Vocals weave through a haze of reverb and feedback arches through frisson-filled dusky melodies," Ruth Saxelby wrote for Dummy.

Yuck is a London-based band with international roots that has been together for just over a year. The band has signed to Fat Possum Records and will release its debut album early in 2011. The record will be released in Europe by The Pharmacy Recording Company. UK single "Rubber" was released earlier this month, and the band will release “Georgia” backed with “The Base of a Dream is Empty” in the US through Fat Possum Records on November 23.

Your are currently browsing this site with Internet Explorer 6 (IE6).

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.

Get free downloads for Internet Explorer 7, including recommended updates as they become available. To download Internet Explorer 7 in the language of your choice, please visit the Internet Explorer 7 worldwide page.
