Editors, The Complete CollectionFans of Editors will be pleased to learn that Editors, The Complete Collection, is scheduled for release in February next year. The collectors' boxset is set to comprise seven 12” heavy weight vinyls, seven CD’s, a download of everything in high quality 320kbps mp3 format, and a book of photos and words. The news was announced in a message from frontman Tom Smith posted on Editors' website on Friday.

In his message to fans, Tom Smith said, "We’ve been picking through the archive recently, looking back at our 3 records, many many b-sides and some material that has never seen the light of day. It’s been addictive. We can’t leave it alone, much like picking a scab, and we’ve decided to package it all together and share it with our fans, officially."

The boxset will be made available to pre-order from the band's official website early on December 2nd, and the first 200 pre-orders will receive a special personalised surprise from Tom Smith.

Smith continued, "We’ve raided the vaults, searched through old CD-Rs, cassettes and photo albums and gathered it all together. We’d like you to have this music on any and every format we can produce and also share some photos and memories of the last 6 years in a volume that you can keep forever."

Between now and February the band is also selecting special content that fans can access and download for free by simply entering their email addresses on the official website. Currently, a track titled "Last Day" is available for free download. Listen to "Last Day" here.

Smith also revealed news on Editors' plans for a fourth album. "It won’t be long until we’re together again as a band rehearsing the first ideas for album 4. Obviously it’s a big task but we have songs now and the wheels are well and truly in motion," Smith said.

"The idea is to record in stages over 2011 but first things must come first and we need to get into a room together and play, see where the ideas take us. These are exciting times and we’re all looking forward to taking our relationship with Mr Flood further… first rehearsals start in a matter of days."

Flood is the professional pseudonym of the British post-punk and alternative rock record producer Mark Ellis, who worked with Editors on its third album In This Light and On This Evening. In 2006, his work with U2 led to him sharing the Grammy Award for Album of the Year for How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb.

Editors released its third album in October 2009. The album represented a significant change for the band following the huge successes of its debut album The Back Room and the number-one follow-up An End Has A Start. Smith gave no clues as to whether the fourth album will provide a further development of the background of electronic whirrs and hums that ran under many of the tracks on the third.

Originally based in Birmingham, England, band members met while studying at Staffordshire University, in Stafford. Bassist Russell Leech and guitarist Chris Urbanowicz are now resident in New York, while Smith lives in London. Drummer Ed Lay is the fourth member of the band. The album In This Light and On This Evening was inspired by the city of London.

In "A message from Tom," Smith opened with, "Another year races towards its end and Editors are a hive of activity."

Smith's final words on the collection included a promise, "It’s gonna be sexy."

"We'd like to play the first gig on the moon," Steve Sparrow the frontman of UK band Morning Parade recently stated. For the time-being at least Morning Parade will have to settle for more realistic ambitions though it is clear it has set its sights on being a stadium-band. "We have a rule," the band told the Guardian. "Whenever we write something, we ask ourselves, 'Can you see 100,000 people singing this back to you?' If not, we get rid of it. We want to be huge." Through its "anthemic, electronicised rock for the masses" and a newly released debut single, "Under the Stars," Morning Parade is truly aiming for the stars.

"They fit the niche marked 'robust indie with stadium ambitions, passionate vocals and penchant for rave-rock rhythms' like a glove," Paul Lester reported in the Guardian. "A Delphic with the common touch."

"We'd be lying if we said that wasn't our ambition," Sparrow told Spinner. "The first gigs that I went to at 14-years-old were like Muse at Docklands Arena and that was amazing. We like the smaller venues as well but want to write songs that fill arenas."

Formed in Harlow, Essex by Sparrow and bassist Phil Titus, the band's line-up consists of childhood friends Steve Sparrow (vocals, guitar), Chad Thomas (guitar), Phil Titus (bass), Ben Giddings (keyboards), and Andy Hayes (drums).
