Pulp Festival Dates Are Not FictionFollowing rumors that the band would headline Glastonbury last summer, Pulp has confirmed that it shall reform for 2011 festival dates. The dates will include the Primavera Sound in Barcelona in May and the Wireless Festival at London's Hyde Park in July. It will be the first time the band has played a festival since announcing an "indefinite hiatus" in 2002.

Pulp's most stable and successful line-up consisted of Jarvis Cocker (vocals), Mark Webber (guitar), Russell Senior (guitar), Steve Mackey (bass), Candida Doyle (keyboard), and Nick Bands (drums). This line-up last shared a stage together in 1996. "Pulp have decided to get together and play some concerts next summer. The shows will involve all the original members of the band and they will be playing songs from all periods of their career. (Yes, that means they'll be playing your favourites)," the band's statement said. "In the meantime, ask yourself this: 'Do You Remember The First Time?' Thank you for your attention."

Cocker previously fueled rumors of a Glastonbury 2010 reunion in an interview with the People in 2009. "Glastonbury means an awful lot to me, I would love to play there again. We've talked about it, there we go, there'll be a band reunion," Cocker said.

Tigers That Came to Tea (But Didn't Join the Tea Party)Last week, Indie Rock and Roll Radio made Tigers That Talked its "Featured Band." The article can be found here. To celebrate the release of the band's debut album, The Merchant, DJ Space invited founder, singer-songwriter, frontman, and guitarist Jamie Williams into his virtual studios for a cup of tea and a chat. On behalf of listeners, he also remembered to ask a few questions.

Jamie Williams had the following to say, "Thanks for getting in touch and for your questions. We are really glad that you have been enjoying the music and hope you enjoy the album that is due for release today through www.tigersthattalked.co.uk !! Hopefully we will see you one day on our travels."

Q1. Congratulations on your debut album, The Merchant. I wish you the
success your music deserves. What does the release of your first album mean
to you?

"Thank you. The album means a huge amount to us, being our first release it is all the tracks we worked on together when we came together as a band and the recording process was a wonderful experience for us all, both in terms of how much we enjoyed it and also how much we learnt about making music. Our producer, Adam Noble, imparted a lot of wisdom in those sessions and we couldn’t have got to where we are musically now without going through that."

Drawing upon its 90's indie influences (cited as The Cure, Teenage Fan Club, My Bloody Valentine, and Elliot Smith), London band exlovers combines soft, sombre lyrics with distorted guitars to create its dream-pop sound, contrasting the fragile vocals of Laurel Sills and Peter Scott with the occasionally frenzied guitar playing of Chris Woodhead.

"Pale Saints jamming with Dinosaur Jr," VPM recently reported. "They produce songs which give hope and inspiration to the lovelorn and the lost."

"When 'Blowing Kisses' kicks in with it’s urgent guitars and laid back vocals, it is clear that this band have huge amounts of potential," The Whiteboard Project said.

"Ex Lovers all fit together perfectly, like Stickle Bricks," A New Band A Day wrote when exlovers supported Pete and the Pirates in 2008. "Ex Lovers just work."

The welcome resurgence of 90's shoegaze and dream-pop is currently popular with new bands on both sides of the Atlantic, and exlovers is a great example of young artists exploring this genre of music. exlovers' relaxed boy-girl harmonies and driving guitars exude confidence in its abilities to make music of distinction.
